After years of studying different technical analysis methods, I have abandoned all technical indicators except chart patterns. Chart patterns can be used to find accurate price targets with easy calculation that even a ten-year-old could understand. Without knowing the calculated target price, people may exit a stock position too early or too late. Similar chart patterns may appear repeatedly daily in many stocks in different time frames, including 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 60 minutes, daily or weekly charts. Chart patterns can be used by day traders, swing traders, short term and long term investors.
